About Us

AskNova is a small, independent astrology project built by people who care about making astrology easier to explore without making it feel shallow.

We started with astrocartography because it is one of the most fascinating parts of astrology, but also one of the hardest to read. A traditional astrocartography map can be beautiful, but it can also be overwhelming: lines crossing the whole world, technical labels, and very little explanation of what any of it might mean for your actual life.

We wanted to make something gentler, and genuinely more useful.

Not a tool that tells you where you “must” live.
Not a generator that turns astrology into vague, dramatic promises.
Just a clearer way to look at how different places may bring out different parts of your chart.

How we approach astrology

We treat astrology as a symbolic system, not a shortcut for making life decisions.

That means we are interested in nuance. We do not think every Venus line is automatically perfect, or every Saturn line is something to avoid. We do not believe a single placement can explain a whole city, relationship, career move, or chapter of life.

Our goal is to make the information easier to understand while keeping enough depth for it to still feel meaningful.

We try to write interpretations that are clear, specific, and grounded. We care about the difference between a line that feels supportive and one that feels intense. We care about context. We care about not flattening astrology into generic advice.

Accuracy matters

Astrocartography depends on precise birth data and precise astronomical calculation.

AskNova uses the Swiss Ephemeris with a professional licence for planetary calculations. Swiss Ephemeris is widely used in astrology software and is known for its high-precision astronomical data.

We care about this because small differences can matter, especially when working with location-based techniques. A map is only useful if the underlying calculation is solid.

We also run AskNova Astrology, a broader astrology site with tools for birth charts, transits, synastry, composite charts, solar returns, lunar returns, and other chart techniques.

The spirit behind both projects is the same: astrology should be accessible, but not careless.

We want our tools to feel simple enough to use without needing to be an expert, but thoughtful enough that people who care about astrology can still trust the work behind them.

AskNova is not a large corporate astrology platform. It is a small product, made carefully, and still evolving. We are independent and bootstrapped — you can read more about what that means to us.
